Cemetery Master Planning Services

Background
The City of Newnan, Georgia, located 35 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta and the county seat of Coweta County, seeks a professional consultant to develop a master plan for the preservation and improvement of four cemeteries: Oak Hill Cemetery, East View Cemetery, East View Cemetery Annex, and Farmer Street Cemetery.

The goal is to create a comprehensive plan that addresses the unique characteristics and needs of each cemetery.

Work Details
The selected firm will provide design services necessary for planning the future of the cemeteries. Key activities include: assembling base data (legal boundaries, buildings, infrastructure), preparing a site analysis outlining opportunities and constraints, meeting with a city-appointed design review team to establish goals, developing up to three alternative concept plans, presenting these concepts for feedback, creating a preliminary master plan with detailed site plans and cost estimates, presenting the preliminary plan to the Newnan City Council, and preparing a final master plan that incorporates community input.

Specific elements to be included in the final plan are an illustrative color-rendered site plan, details of proposed elements (sketches/photos), opinions of cost for development phases, and a written report on the planning process.

Period of Performance
The proposals are due by February 11, 2025. The timeline for project completion will be determined based on the selected consultant's proposal.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Newnan, Georgia at the specified cemeteries: Oak Hill Cemetery (102 acres), East View Cemetery (16.43 acres), East View Cemetery Annex (11.41 acres), and Farmer Street Cemetery (8.57 acres).
