Catering Services for the City of Douglasville Town Green

Background
The City of Douglasville is seeking to expand its approved list of independent licensed full-service caterers for the Town Green, located at 6840 Church St., Douglasville, GA 30134. The goal is to add three additional caterers capable of providing a diverse menu that accommodates various dietary preferences for receptions, corporate events, meetings, and other group functions. The City emphasizes customer service as a priority and reserves the right to terminate a caterer's status if quality service is not maintained.

Work Details
The Approved Caterers will be responsible for providing catered food services including:
- Employing their own staff who are neat, clean, and courteous.
- Providing all necessary items such as tablecloths, linens, utensils, and beverages (including alcoholic beverages if licensed).
- Utilizing the Town Green's facilities which include The Tower with three spaces: the Bridge (occupancy 50), the Patio (occupancy 60), and the Rooftop (occupancy 28), along with a full-service warming kitchen.
- Enforcing the smoke-free policy during events.
- Cleaning up after events including trash removal and cleaning food preparation areas.
- Scheduling tastings with clients prior to events.
- Paying a facility usage fee of at least 10% of gross food sales to the City.

Period of Performance
The contract will be ongoing as long as the caterer maintains their approved status and meets performance expectations. The review of Approved Caterer status will occur every three years.

Catering services will be performed at the Town Green located at 6840 Church St., Douglasville, GA 30134.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed full-service caterers with previous experience in catering services at medium-sized event facilities. They must comply with Georgia law regarding employee compensation and benefits. Additionally, locally owned, minority-owned, and female-owned businesses are encouraged to apply. Bidders must provide proof of insurance covering commercial general liability ($500,000/$1 million) and automobile insurance ($100,000/$300,000). They must also agree to indemnification requirements and list the City of Douglasville as an additional insured on their policies.
