Candler County Facility Cleaning Services (2025-2 RFP)

Background
Candler County, a political subdivision of the State of Georgia, is soliciting proposals for an annual contract for cleaning services for various County buildings. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all facilities are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition to serve the needs of the citizens effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will perform cleaning services at the following facilities:
1. Sheriff’s Office – 1015 East Hiawatha Street (5,500 sq. ft.) including offices, lobby areas, and restrooms.
2. Commissioner’s Office Building – 1075 East Hiawatha Street (7,464 sq. ft.) including offices, lobby areas, and public/staff restrooms.
3. Courthouse – 35 SW Broad Street (10,968 sq. ft.) including lobby, main floor offices, public/staff restrooms, second-floor offices, and courtroom.
4. Tax Assessor & Tax Commissioner Building – 25 W Daniel Street (4,388 sq. ft.) including lobby and offices.
5. Metter-Candler Recreation Department – 621 Pine Street with ten restroom facilities across five locations in the park.

Required services include:
- Daily restroom services (Monday to Friday) such as emptying trash receptacles, cleaning toilets and urinals, stocking supplies.
- Weekly services across all facilities including dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, mopping floors.
- Monthly tasks like wiping restroom partitions and high dusting.
- Special instructions for courtroom cleaning and quarterly window washing.

Period of Performance
The contract term is for one year starting from July 1, 2025, with an option to renew automatically for another year unless terminated earlier with a 90-day written notice.

Place of Performance
Cleaning services will be performed at various locations within Candler County including the Sheriff’s Office, Commissioner’s Office Building, Courthouse, Tax Assessor & Tax Commissioner Building, and Metter-Candler Recreation Department.
