Candler County 2025 TIA LAKE CHURCH RPAD RESURFACING

Background
The Candler County Board of Commissioners is issuing a solicitation for the 2025 TIA Lake Church Road Resurfacing Project.
This project aims to enhance the infrastructure by resurfacing Lake Church Road, which spans 3.3 miles from Dutch Ford Road to State Route 46.
This initiative is part of the county's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve road conditions for better accessibility and safety.

Work Details
The project includes resurfacing and associated work within the right-of-way of Lake Church Road, starting at Dutch Ford Road and extending north for 3.3 miles to State Route 46.
The successful bidder will be responsible for securing all necessary permits, assessments, charges, or fees required for the construction.
All work must be completed within 150 consecutive calendar days following receipt of the Notice to Proceed.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed within 150 consecutive calendar days after the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will take place along Lake Church Road in Candler County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Bid Bond of at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid.
The successful bidder will also need to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each amounting to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract value.
Contractors and subcontractors are required to have a business license in Georgia, be fully insured, and hold a valid contractor's license in Georgia.
Insurance requirements include comprehensive general liability coverage with limits of no less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, commercial automobile liability insurance with similar limits, statutory worker’s compensation insurance with $1,000,000 employer’s liability coverage, and employee dishonesty/crimes coverage with limits of no less than $50,000 per occurrence.
