Background
The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the renovation of the Gwinnett County Aquatic Center Pool.
This project aims to enhance the facilities managed by the Gwinnett County Department of Parks and Recreation, ensuring they meet community needs and safety standards.

Work Details
The successful contractor shall furnish all labor and materials required to replace the existing water line and surrounding tile, and prepare the pool shell for plaster at one aquatic center.
This includes one instructional pool, one competition pool, and one outdoor leisure pool located at Bethesda Park Aquatic Center.
The scope of work includes:
1. Preparation of the pool shell for a new conventional plaster finish.
2. Replacement of existing water line tiles and installation of new tiles at specified areas.
3. Removal of construction debris in compliance with EPA regulations.
4. Application of a new white marble plaster finish to the pool structure.
5. Work at Best Friend Park Pool involves replacing existing PVC membrane with LifeFloor or an approved alternate, including similar preparation tasks as listed above.

Period of Performance
Work at Bethesda Park Aquatic Center is scheduled to begin by September 2, 2025, and must be completed no later than September 28, 2025.
Work at Best Friend Park Pool is set to start on October 25, 2025.

Place of Performance
Bethesda Park Aquatic Center located at 225 Bethesda Church Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044;
Best Friend Park Pool located at 6224 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross, GA 30071.

Bidder Requirements
All contractors must submit a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid upon submission.
The successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond.
Insurance companies must be licensed to do business in Georgia and have an A.M. Best rating of A-7 or higher.
