BL054-25, Provision of Swimming Pool Maintenance and Repair at Various Parks Locations on an Annual

Background
Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Provision of Swimming Pool Maintenance and Repair at Various Parks Locations on an Annual Contract. This contract includes four (4) additional one-year options to renew and is intended for the Department of Parks and Recreation, which oversees multiple aquatic facilities in the county.

Work Details
The contractor will provide pool maintenance and repair services for five (5) year-round aquatic centers, seven (7) seasonal pools, and two (2) interactive fountains. Services include:
- Repair and maintenance of pool filtration equipment
- Leak detection/repairs
- Drain/waste & fill lines
- Minor plumbing
- Electrical work
- Gutter system elements
- Motors and pumps
- Underwater lights
- Chlorinators
- UV systems
- Automatic chemical control feed systems
- Tile and plaster repairs.

The contractor must use ADA-compliant equipment/products where applicable. Basic equipment required includes water hoses, electrical extension cords, pressure gauges and meters, ladders, pressure washers with attachments, fans, temporary work lighting, small submersible pumps, hand tools, shovels, pool cleaning vacuums, poles, nets & brushes. The contractor must document all work performed with service tickets signed by a County representative.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will be valid for one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various parks locations throughout Gwinnett County.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must have a current National Swimming Pool Foundation (NSPF) Certified Pool Operator certification or an Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) Aquatic Facility Operator certification. Contractors are required to maintain all appropriate state and local licenses. They must also provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents.
