BL053-25, Provision of Precision Laser Grading Services on an Annual Contract

Background
The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified service providers for Precision Laser Grading Services on an Annual Contract. This contract is specifically for the Gwinnett County Department of Parks & Recreation, which aims to maintain high-quality turf surfaces in its nationally recognized park system. The contract includes four additional one-year options to renew.

Work Details
The contractor will provide precision laser grading services to remove surface irregularities and weeds from turf while preserving the underlying root system. Typical applications include precision removal of lips from baseball and softball fields and preparation of sports fields for resodding.

The contractor must ensure full recovery of turf for play within six weeks post-grading. Services must be executed with a +/- ¼” accuracy, resulting in a smooth and consistent surface without settlement. The contractor is responsible for all labor, tools, equipment, and safety measures during the execution of these services.

They must also provide personnel available Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM to address any inquiries from county representatives.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon notification of award and will last for one year, with the possibility of four additional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various parks throughout Gwinnett County, Georgia.
