Bid Ref. #26-059 DOCO HVAC Judicial Building

Background
The City of Albany, Georgia, is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the HVAC system at the Judicial Building located at 225 Pine Avenue, Albany, GA. The project aims to ensure a fully operational, safe, and efficient HVAC system that complies with all state codes and manufacturer specifications. The contract will be awarded by the Dougherty County Board of Commissioners.

Work Details
The project involves the removal and replacement of the existing chiller with one (1) new Trane or York 325-ton Mag Bearing Chiller. The contractor is responsible for:
- Disposing of the current failed unit;
- Providing and installing the new chiller;
- Recovering freon from the failed unit;
- Connecting piping and reinsulating connections;
- Installing a new motor and pump;
- Making all necessary wiring connections;
- Completing a factory-authorized start-up including safety testing;
- Supplying start-up logs and operation manuals.

All work must comply with local environmental regulations.

Period of Performance
All work shall be substantially completed within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

The work will be performed at the Judicial Building located at 225 Pine Avenue, Albany, GA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond equal to at least 5% of their bid amount. A 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond are required upon contract award. Bidders must also comply with Georgia's Drug Free Workplace Act, provide certification regarding debarment status, and submit various forms including:
- Indemnity Agreement;
- Governing Law & Venue form;
- Certificate of Non-Collusion form;
- Drug Free Workplace Certification;
- Debarred Bidders Integrity Certification;
- Affidavit for compliance with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act.
