Bid Ref. #26-003 Roof Repair Light Duty Shop

Background
The City of Albany, Georgia, is seeking bids for the reroofing and repairs of the Light Duty Shop located at 1900 N. Monroe. This project aims to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of the facility by replacing the existing roof and addressing necessary repairs as outlined in the bid documents.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Removing the existing roof completely and properly disposing of all demolished materials.
2. Replacing rotten decking as needed.
3. Designing and installing a replacement waterproof roofing system using 60-mil TPO.
4. Insulating the roof to current code.
5. Replacing the roof eaves around the perimeter of the building.
6. Providing a written warranty for materials and workmanship.
7. Submitting a detailed quote on company letterhead specifying all work, materials, and pricing valid for 60 days from bid opening date.

Period of Performance
The contract must be completed within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

The work will be performed at the Light Duty Shop located at 1900 N. Monroe, Albany, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond if their bid exceeds $100,000, which should be at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount. A performance bond and payment bond are also required for successful bidders if their bid exceeds $100,000. Contractors must maintain insurance with specified coverage limits and comply with Georgia's Drug Free Workplace Act and Security and Immigration Compliance Act.
