Bid Ref. #25-002 Building Stabilization Albany Herald

Background
The City of Albany, Georgia, is issuing this solicitation for the stabilization of properties formerly occupied by the Albany Herald. The goal of this project is to stabilize the properties located at 126 North Washington Street, 132 Pine Avenue, and 138 Pine Avenue to encourage their redevelopment by private developers. The total area involved in this project is approximately 52,056 square feet.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Abatement, demolition, cleaning, stabilization, and repairing the envelope including roofing and exterior skin to eliminate water intrusion.

- Specific tasks include:
- For 126 North Washington Street: Demolition of existing roofing, repair roof structure, decking, brick, coping and flashing, and installation of a new roof.
- For 132 Pine Avenue: Similar tasks as above.
- For 138 Pine Avenue: Similar tasks as above with additional structural work required as per drawings.

- Alternates include demolition and abatement for each property as indicated in the demolition drawings and stabilization/repair of exterior envelopes as indicated on the drawings.

Period of Performance
The contract must be completed within two hundred forty (240) calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at three locations in Albany, Georgia: 126 North Washington Street, 132 Pine Avenue, and 138 Pine Avenue.
