BID 25-L001A Locust Grove

Background
The City of Locust Grove is seeking competitive sealed bids for the resurfacing of 11 city roads, totaling approximately 1.9 miles. This project aims to enhance the infrastructure and safety of local roadways, aligning with the city's commitment to maintaining and improving public facilities. The contract will be awarded to qualified vendors pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for asphalt milling and hot-mix asphalt placement on specified city roads. The scope includes:
- Traffic control (including temporary striping)
- Milling up to 2 inches
- Resurfacing with hot-mix asphalt
- Placement and sanding of asphalt prime
- Building shoulders (including grassing)
- Striping using Thermoplastic.

The specific roads involved in this project include Cloud Drive, Roberts Trail, Kaylor’s Meadow, Kings Cove, Unity Cove, Theberton Trail, Dunniston Drive, Lear Drive, Kirkland Drive, and Smith Street. All work must comply with Georgia Department of Transportation standards.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is set for 180 calendar days from the receipt of the written Notice to Proceed from the City of Locust Grove.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on various city roads within Locust Grove, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation. A Bid Bond of at least 5% of the total bid amount is required. Successful bidders must provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 15 calendar days after being notified of the award. All contractors must maintain a valid license from the State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors.
