BID #25-69, Resurfacing of Various County Roads - Batch 2

Background
Henry County Government is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified vendors for the resurfacing of various county roads. The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure by providing necessary road repairs and improvements, which aligns with the county's mission to maintain safe and efficient transportation systems.

Work Details
The contract involves the following services: cement stabilized reclaimed base, asphalt milling, and hot-mix asphalt placement on 79 County roads (approximately 33 miles). Specific tasks include:

- Traffic control (including temporary striping)
- Asphalt patching
- Cement stabilized base reclamation (8 inches thick with Portland Cement)
- Milling (2 inches)
- Resurfacing
- Placement and sanding of asphalt prime
- Building shoulders (including grassing)
- Striping placement of pavement marking.

All work must conform to the Georgia Department of Transportation standards.

Period of Performance
The work must be completed within 300 calendar days from the date of receipt of the written Notice to Proceed from Henry County.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed on various county roads located in Henry County, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Additionally, there is an 11% subcontracting benchmark for certified M/WBE participation. Bidders must submit a list of subcontractors, a Covenant of Non-Discrimination Form, and evidence demonstrating good faith efforts to meet M/WBE goals. Insurance requirements include general liability coverage and workers' compensation insurance as per Georgia law.
