Banks County School District High School Agriculture Facility Addition

Background
The Banks County Board of Education (BCBOE) is seeking proposals from construction professionals for the construction of a High School Agriculture Facility Addition. The goal of this project is to enhance educational facilities for agriculture programs at Banks County High School, aligning with the district's mission to provide quality education and resources for students.

Work Details
The project includes the construction of a kitchen expansion to the existing Agriculture Facility. The scope of work may include planning and construction services, evaluation of the project budget, and prioritization of needs based on available funding.

The selected contractor will be responsible for preconstruction services such as technical review, cost verification, value engineering, schedule development, and management of all construction activities. The preferred delivery method for this project is Construction Manager-at-Risk (CM @ Risk), which requires collaboration with a Design Professional. The contractor will also manage safety protocols and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.

Period of Performance
The anticipated timeline for the selection of the contractor is December 2024, with preconstruction services expected to begin immediately upon contract execution. Construction is tentatively scheduled to commence on March 1, 2025, and reach substantial completion by July 1, 2025.
