Band Tower at Habersham Central High School

Background
The Habersham County Board of Education (HCBOE) is seeking qualified contractors to provide a Band Tower at Habersham Central High School. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facilities available for the school's band program, ensuring safety and accessibility for students and staff.

This project is part of HCBOE's ongoing commitment to improve educational infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish and install a 30-foot Band Tower with a roof at the band practice field of Habersham Central High School. The tower must include:
- Ample walking space on each landing with handrails exceeding OSHA safety specifications
- Multi-tier design with each landing at 10 feet
- A roof that is 8 feet above the final landing
- Multi-purpose handrails for mounting music stands and accessories
- A lockable security gate
- Fully enclosed stairs
- Color options
- Full turn-key installation, which includes shipping, foundation work, and installation services.

The quote must cover all materials, labor, equipment, and other necessary services for the completion of this contract.

Period of Performance
The work is anticipated to begin as early as May 23, 2026, with a completion date set for July 10, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Habersham Central High School located at 2059 State Hwy 197S, Mt. Airy, GA 30563.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been in business for a minimum of two years and cannot be employees of the Habersham County School District. They are required to perform background checks on employees working on school property, which must include both GCIC and NCIC checks.

A certificate of insurance is required with specified coverage amounts: $1,000,000 for bodily injury per accident and $2,000,000 for property damage per accident. Additionally, bidders must comply with E-Verify requirements under O.C.G.A. § 13-10-91(b)(1), provide valid licenses to operate in Georgia, submit three references (two business and one personal), and include a current W-9.
