Auctioneer Services

Background
The Cherokee County School District (CCSD) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide Auctioneer Services. This initiative aims to facilitate the sale of various items owned by the district, including cafeteria equipment, classroom furnishings, and vehicles. The goal is to ensure efficient and professional auction services that meet the district's needs.

Work Details
The awarded proposer will be responsible for conducting auctions on CCSD property, which may include items such as cafeteria equipment, large kitchen equipment, classroom furnishings, maintenance equipment, auto shop equipment, art and musical equipment, vehicles, busses, and other miscellaneous items.

Specific responsibilities include:
1. Conducting auctions for a flat fee or a percentage of sale proceeds.
2. Providing detailed reports on auction items including lot numbers and sale amounts.
3. Ensuring all sales are conducted with proper advertising and public announcements.
4. Handling pre-sale services such as planning, advertisement mailings, and securing necessary permits.
5. Collecting all proceeds from sales within ten working days in the form of a certified check payable to CCSD.
6. Maintaining insurance coverage as specified by CCSD requirements throughout the contract duration.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on October 1, 2025, and will run for thirty-six months until September 30, 2028. There is an option to renew for two additional three-year terms if requested at least 120 days before expiration.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed on Cherokee County School District property.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must submit a current Certificate of Insurance with their proposal and maintain required insurance limits throughout the contract duration. Additionally, proposers must possess a valid Georgia Auction/Auctioneer’s State License and Georgia Used Car Sales License at the time of proposal submission.
