Description

The City of Newnan will accept sealed bids from qualified Contractors for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and other things necessary to complete the project, Asphaltic Concrete Pavement Preservation- 2025. Bids will be received by the City of Newnan at the Office of City Manager, City Hall; 25 LaGrange Street, Newnan, Georgia 30263, until 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bidding documents may be viewed at the Office of City Engineer, 2nd Floor City Hall; or obtained from the City s website, www.newnanga.gov. This work includes the variable depth milling, deep patching, and overlay of approximately 2.741 centerline miles on 10 streets, and full depth reclamation and paving of approximately 20118 SY on 3 streets, and the application of thermoplastic traffic stripe and pavement markings. The Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment and services required, including traffic control, to complete the project and fulfill the terms and conditions of this Advertisement for Bids. The work shall begin after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the City of Newnan and shall be carried through to completion without unreasonable delay and without suspension of work unless authorized in writing by the City of Newnan. The number of calendar days allowed to complete the work is 180 days from date of Notice to Proceed. Work Details
The project involves the following tasks: variable depth milling, deep patching, and overlay of approximately 2.741 centerline miles on 10 streets; full depth reclamation and paving of approximately 20,118 square yards on 3 streets; and application of thermoplastic traffic stripes and pavement markings.

7. SUPERPAVE Deep Patch (2,209 TN)
8. Reclaimed Base (20,118 SY)
9. Utility Valve Adjustments (26 EA)
10. Manhole Adjustments (41 EA)
11. GDOT Standard Thermoplastic Traffic Stripe and Markings including various lengths of solid traffic stripes in white and yellow, traffic arrows, stop bars, gore hatching in both colors, and handicap parking symbols.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the City of Newnan and must be completed within 180 calendar days from that date.

The contract will be performed in various locations throughout the City of Newnan, Georgia.
