Request for Proposals for Abatement and Remediation of Asbestos, Mold and Lead Paint Removal, Demolition and Debris Removal The City of Social Circle is accepting proposals for the abatement and remediation of Asbestos, Mold, Lead Paint, Debris, and Demolition in three Downtown Buildings. Proposals will be received in Social Circle City Hall located at 166 North Cherokee Road, Social Circle, Georgia, 30025, until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The City of Social Circle is seeking professional services (professional) to successfully perform demolition and to remove and dispose of materials containing asbestos, mold, and lead paint at three commercial buildings. The professionals shall obtain all applicable permits, licenses, etc. that may be required by Federal, State, County, and City law to furnish services under the scope of this project. This shall include obtaining necessary permits from the Walton County Health Department and The City of Social Circle for each structure. The professional shall be a certified Asbestos Removal/Mold/Lead Paint company with an active certification in the State of Georgia. The professional shall also be a licensed asbestos abatement contractor with the Health Department in the County they are licensed in. Proposals will be reviewed by the City and will be awarded the proposal most advantageous to the City. A copy of the proposal tabulation will be provided upon request. Qualifications Firms must have experience identifying asbestos and hazardous materials and with the abatement requirements of federal, state, and local laws. They must also demonstrate they have the equipment, personnel, expertise, and ethical standards to perform the work.
