Aquatic Center Pool Pump, Strainer & Piping Replacement

Background
The City of St. Marys, Georgia, through its Public Works Department, is seeking qualified licensed pool maintenance and repair service providers to undertake the Aquatic Center Pool Pump, Strainer & Piping Replacement Project. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the pool facilities are brought back online in full compliance with State of Georgia Health & Safety regulations related to public swimming pools.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

- Removal and replacement of existing pumps, strainers, and above-grade piping.
- Disposal of existing pumps, piping, strainers, and related appurtenances.
- All start-up and testing required for compliance with health regulations.

Specific equipment to be replaced includes:
- Pool Pump 1: 8x8x25 HP 1780 RPM 203/460 VAC 3PH Motor Vertical Inline Centrifugal Pump with 304 SS Impeller.
- Strainer 1: Mermaid 12x8 reducing strainer, 50 PSI with Flanged Ends & 316 SS Basket.
- Pool Pump 2: 5x5x10 HP 1760 RPM.
- Strainer 2: Mermaid 8x5x50 PSI.
- Pool Pump 3: 4x4x10 HP.
- Strainer 3: Mermaid 6x4x50 PSI.
- Pool Pump 4: 5x5x10 HP.
- Strainer 4: Mermaid 8x5x50 PSI.
- Pool Pump 5: Lazy River Circulation - 4x4x15 HP.
- Strainer 5: Mermaid 8x4x50 PSI.
- Pool Pump 6: Lazy River Feature - 8x8x25 HP.
- Strainer 6: Mermaid 12x8x50 PSI.

Additionally, approximately:
-120 LF of new CPVC piping (6” and 8”) including all fittings and connections will be installed.
-The contractor must also replace existing isolation valves, check valves, connections, fittings, and other appurtenances associated with the above-ground pump system.
-The project requires pressure washing of pump vaults before installation and installation of new electrical panels and sump pumps.

Period of Performance
The Notice to Proceed (NTP) is expected to commence on February 17, 2025. All project work must be completed by April 25, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the St. Marys Aquatic Center located at the City of St. Marys, Georgia.
