Description

The Habersham County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified Low Voltage Wiring Vendors and Technology System Integrators to provide a Structured Cabling System, and Access Control system installation, including a data center open frame rack and patch panels for the Habersham County Animal Control Facility.
Background
The Habersham County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified Low Voltage Wiring Vendors and Technology System Integrators to provide a Structured Cabling System and Access Control system installation for the new Habersham County Animal Control Facility.

This facility will be a one-story building with 17,293 square feet, constructed with steel framing and drywall interiors. The goal of this contract is to implement a complete technology infrastructure that supports voice, data, and video communications as part of the county's strategic technology initiatives.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a fully turnkey structured cabling system including: installation of voice/data grade Category 6 cabling; termination jacks for voice and data communications; racks, patch panels, jacks, patch cords; and all necessary wire mold or conduit.

Specific tasks include: all terminations, racking, labeling, cable testing; installation of a data center open frame rack and patch panels; cutover support; compliance with industry standards for installation; testing and certification of systems including copper and fiber optic cabling; provision of training on installed systems. The contractor must ensure that all materials meet specified requirements and are sourced from reputable manufacturers.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and continue through the completion of the project, with an estimated move-in date for the facility set for May 1, 2026.

Habersham County Animal Control Facility located at 130 Jacob’s Way, Suite 302, Clarkesville, GA 30523.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have appropriate licenses and certifications to perform low voltage cabling services in Georgia. They must provide three references for similar projects completed in the past three years.

Bidders must demonstrate financial capability to perform the services effectively and have at least one certified professional on staff. Additionally, bidders located within Habersham County must possess a current business license or be exempt from this requirement.
