Background
The Sumter County Board of Commissioners in Georgia is seeking proposals for emergency ambulance services to ensure the availability and service of these critical services to the residents, citizens, and visitors within the geographic boundaries of Sumter County.

The contract aims to establish an exclusive agreement for Advanced Life Support (ALS) response for 911 emergency calls, focusing on providing reliable and efficient emergency medical services.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing primary emergency ambulance services on a 24/7 basis within Sumter County. This includes:
- Operating three (3) ALS level ambulances dedicated to emergency and non-emergency services.
- Employing at least two qualified healthcare professionals per ambulance, including one licensed above EMT level.
- Maintaining ambulances in good working condition and equipped as per Georgia Department of Human Resources standards.
- Meeting a response time requirement of nine (9) minutes for 90% of all 911 calls.
- Providing ALS emergency ambulance services regardless of patients' ability to pay.
- Conducting all billing and collection functions for EMS services, with a proposed rate schedule included in the submission.
- Participating in mutual aid agreements as directed by the Sumter County Board of Commissioners.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year, with the possibility of two additional one-year renewals at the discretion of the County.
