Ambulance Remount Services

Background
Effingham County, Georgia is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide ambulance remount services. The goal of this contract is to remount existing ambulance modules onto new chassis, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The County aims to enhance its emergency medical services by upgrading its fleet with reliable and efficient vehicles.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Type I ambulance remount services for a minimum of two (2) units, with an option for a third. The work includes:

1) Dismounting the existing module, inspection, and repair;
2) Remounting on a new Ford F-450 XLT chassis;
3) Modifications to the chassis as required;
4) Full inspection and repair of the module;
5) Repainting and body restoration;
6) Installation of new exterior components;
7) Electrical system upgrades;
8) Repairs to exterior compartments;
9) Refurbishment of the interior patient compartment;
10) Installation and testing of HVAC, oxygen, and vacuum systems;
11) Documentation and delivery of the completed units.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the proposal schedule. Turnaround times for each unit will be determined by the contractor.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily take place at the contractor's facility located within 350 miles of Effingham County, Georgia. Mobile service support may also be provided as needed.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a qualified repair facility within proximity to Effingham County and provide all necessary certifications, insurance, licenses, and documentation. They must demonstrate relevant experience in performing similar ambulance remount projects and provide references.
