Actuator Services

Background
DeKalb County Government is seeking electronic bids for Actuator Services under solicitation number 2025-037-ITB. This contract is a three-year multiyear agreement aimed at providing essential actuator services to support the County's operations, particularly in the Department of Watershed Management. The goal is to ensure reliable and efficient functioning of actuators used in various water management facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive actuator services, including but not limited to: troubleshooting, inspection, testing, refurbishment, replacement, and installation services. Specific tasks include:
1. Visual inspection of limit switch components for wiring issues, corrosion, and other defects.
2. Inspection of grease quality in limit switch gear boxes.
3. Addition of grease to drive sleeves and upper bearings.
4. Cleaning and lubrication of valve stems.
5. Operational checks in manual and automatic modes.
6. Mobile valve and actuator workshop for emergency services.
7. On-site repair and refurbishment of motor, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators.
8. Maintenance database tracking for preventive maintenance visits.
9. Compliance with safety codes and regulations during service delivery.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence within ten days from the written Notice to Proceed and will last for three years, terminating on August 6, 2028, unless extended by Change Order.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations including:
- Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant, 4830 Winters Chapel Rd, Doraville, Georgia 30360
- Polebridge Wastewater Treatment Plant, 4464 Flat Bridge Rd, Stonecrest, Georgia 30038
- Snapfinger Wastewater Treatment Plant, 4124 Flakes Mill Rd, Decatur, Georgia 30034.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with O.C.G.A §13-10-91 regarding federal work authorization programs. They are required to have a valid business license and must register through the electronic platform CV360 to transact business with DeKalb County. Additionally, bidders should be prepared to provide evidence of compliance with local small business enterprise requirements if applicable.
