Background
The City of Valdosta is seeking bids for an Annual Pest Control Services Contract to ensure pest management across various city buildings, including the Georgia Department of Labor Career Center. The goal is to maintain a pest-free environment in compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws regarding pest control and chemical application.
Work Details
The contractor will provide labor, supervision, equipment, and supplies necessary for pest control services targeting roaches, ants, silverfish, rats, mice, and other insects. The contract covers a one-year period with four renewal options. The contractor must ensure that all pesticides used are EPA-approved and low-odor formulations. - Crime Lab

- Engineering Sign Shop
- Guest Rd Water Plant
- JC Shack
- Mud Creek Water Plant
- Municipal Court Building
- Premise Health facility
- Withlacoochee Water Plant
- Women's Building
- Vehicle Maintenance Center
- Public Works/Water/Sewer facilities
- Utilities building
- Sunset Cemetery
- Various Fire Stations.
Period of Performance
The original contract period will begin on July 1, 2026 or after formal award is made and will expire on June 30, 2027. There are provisions for four renewal options if agreed upon by both parties.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the City of Valdosta including City Hall at 216 E. Central Ave., City Hall Annex at 300 N. Lee Street and other specified city buildings.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to operate in Lowndes County and the City of Valdosta. They are required to maintain insurance policies including worker's compensation and comprehensive general liability with a minimum coverage of $500,000. Bidders must also comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act by verifying participation in a federal work authorization program.
