Background
The Paulding County Board of Commissioners is issuing a contract for the Due West Road at SR92 Realignment Project. The project aims to enhance traffic flow and safety by realigning the intersection of Due West Road and SR92, which is currently a stop-controlled intersection. The goal is to improve access for local properties and install a new traffic signal at the redesigned intersection.

Work Details
The project involves the following key tasks:

1. Realigning the western portion of Due West Road 680 feet south of the current intersection with SR92.
2. Installing a new traffic signal at the newly aligned intersection.
3. Barricading the existing Due West alignment, which will be repurposed as a local access road for adjacent properties.

All work must comply with Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction of Roads and Bridges, Current Edition, along with any attached modifications and special provisions.

Period of Performance
The completion date for this project is fifteen (15) months from the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Dallas, Georgia, specifically at the intersection of Due West Road and SR92.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Bid Bond equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total contract amount or provide a certified check, cashier’s check, or cash in an equal amount. Successful bidders are required to furnish performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract amount. Surety companies must have an AM Best rating of A-6 or greater and be licensed by the Georgia Insurance Department.
