Background
Macon-Bibb County, Georgia is seeking proposals for Fire Suppression Maintenance and Services to ensure the safety and operational integrity of its facilities, particularly at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport. The county employs approximately 1,708 individuals and provides various services related to the airport, which spans 1,149 acres and accommodates a variety of aircraft operations. The goal of this contract is to engage qualified vendors to provide comprehensive maintenance services for fire suppression systems.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a broad spectrum of fire protection maintenance and operational services, including:

1. Quarterly Preventive Maintenance Services with documentation of deficiencies and proposals for repairs.
2. Annual inspections with a schedule approved by Macon-Bibb County personnel.
3. Compliance with NFPA and all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
4. Services covering multiple facilities at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport including the Airport Terminal, Operations Center, Executive Terminal building, maintenance building, deluge pump facility, Embraer facility, and all related fire suppression systems.
5. Emergency repairs on an as-needed basis for signal malfunctions and troubleshooting on fire protection equipment.
6. Clean-up after work completion by removing all materials and debris.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be an annual agreement with ongoing maintenance throughout the term.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Middle Georgia Regional Airport in Macon, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate three years of experience providing similar services and must be licensed to operate in the State of Georgia. They must also provide proof of insurance coverage with specified minimums: Workers’ Compensation (Statutory), Errors and Omissions ($1 million), General Liability ($1 million). Additionally, bidders are encouraged to include minority participation goals in their proposals.
