25ITB146749K1-DB Abatement & Demolition Services (Knights Inn & Red Roof Inn)

Background
Fulton County, Georgia is seeking qualified firms to provide complete demolition services for the Red Roof Inn Hotel and Knights Inn Hotel located in South Fulton, GA. The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and efficient demolition of these properties, including the removal of all associated debris and hazardous materials.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Complete demolition of all buildings and foundations at both hotel sites, including the removal of all gas and water supply piping, drain and sewer piping, erosion control measures, and tree protection.

2. Conducting abatement of asbestos and lead-based paint materials prior to demolition.

3. Grading the site and filling in all excavated areas to a mowable grade.

4. Seeding and strawing all disturbed areas post-demolition.

5. Providing necessary engineering, construction, quality control services, working drawings, specifications for demolition services across various disciplines (architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, plumbing, electrical).

6. Maintaining a construction progress schedule, safety plans, cost estimates/budgets, inspections; preparing regulatory reports as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract work must commence within ten (10) days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) and must be completed within three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days from the NTP or the date work begins.

Place of Performance
The demolition services will be performed at two locations in South Fulton, Georgia: Red Roof Inn Hotel at 4430 Frederick Drive SW and Knights Inn Hotel at 4330 Fulton Industrial Boulevard.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including:

1. Submission of a Bid Bond equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount.

2. Proof of registration with E-Verify program as mandated by Georgia law for services performed within the state.

3. Compliance with insurance requirements as outlined in Section 5 of the ITB document.

4. Possession of necessary licenses for any specialized work (e.g., electricians, plumbers) they intend to perform or subcontract.
