Fayette County, Georgia is seeking quotes for vegetation grinding services. A pre-quote conference will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Fayette County Yard Waste Area, 211 1st Manassas Mile, Fayetteville, Georgia 30215. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for grinding all stockpiled vegetation, estimated between 3,000 cubic yards (CY) and 12,000 CY, at least once a year. Key specifications include:

1. Provision of necessary equipment, personnel, and fuel for safe and efficient grinding operations.
2. All ground material must pass through a maximum screen size of 3x3 inches.
3. The contractor may remove ground material from the site for use as fuel wood or compost but must leave a small quantity for citizen pickup.
4. Ground material should be placed in a designated location accessible for residents loading mulch.
5. Material must be windrowed no more than 10 feet vertically.
6. Any debris unsuitable for grinding (e.g., metal, plastic) must be removed by the contractor for proper disposal by Fayette County personnel.
7. Grinding operations must commence within 7 calendar days after agreeing on the quantity with the county.

Period of Performance
The contract will begin upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and continue through June 30, 2026, with options for two additional one-year renewal terms if requested by Fayette County.

The services will be performed at the Fayette County Yard Waste Area located at 211 First Manassas Mile Road, Fayetteville, Georgia 30214.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate experience in vegetative debris grinding and provide references from similar projects. Contractors are required to maintain general liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and automobile liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence throughout the contract term.
