#25-053 DOCO Landfill Parking Improvements

Background
The City of Albany, on behalf of the Dougherty County Board of Commissioners, is issuing a solicitation for the Dougherty County Landfill Parking Improvements project.

The project aims to enhance the parking facilities at the Dougherty County Landfill located at 900 Gaissert Road, Georgia. The work will be conducted in accordance with the specifications and requirements set forth in the bid documents, which include plans and specifications from the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Milling existing asphalt and disposing of it offsite;
2) Installing 1.5" 12.5mm Superpave Asphaltic Concrete (503 tons);
3) Installing 3" 19mm Superpave Asphaltic Concrete (1,005 tons);
4) Applying tack coat (305 gallons);
5) Installing a 2" thick No. 57 leveled base (305 square yards);
6) Removing sand and debris from concrete;
7) Excavating a grass island and placing a 10" GAB base (16 square yards);
8) Lot striping with high-build paint;
and a contingency allowance of $10,000.

The contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, and other items required to complete the contract requirements as specified in the bid documents.

Period of Performance
The contract completion time is set for sixty (60) calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Dougherty County Landfill located at 900 Gaissert Road, Dougherty County, Georgia.
