25-042 On-Call Landscape And Architectural Design Services

Background
The City of Sandy Springs, located in Fulton County and north of Atlanta, is the seventh-largest city in Georgia. It was incorporated in 2005 and has a population exceeding 108,000 residents. The city aims to balance urban living with natural beauty, offering over 950 acres of parkland and various amenities that enhance the quality of life for its residents. The City seeks qualified firms to assist in implementing landscape design projects that align with its mission to provide high-quality public spaces.

Work Details
The selected consultant(s) will provide engineering, landscape, and architectural design services for various city projects. Services may include:
- Landscape design
- Pavilions
- Park concessions
- Sports fields
- Park layouts
- Surveys
- Water line/plumbing work
- Development of plans and specifications for improvements along gateways (including median landscaping)
- Drainage solutions
- Greenways
- Trails
- River/creek systems
- Roadway areas and sidewalk lighting.
The consultant must have a minimum of three years' experience in landscape and architectural design.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will continue as needed for various projects.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the City of Sandy Springs, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must demonstrate experience with landscaping design of parks and gardens, renovation of existing facilities including structural and mechanical aspects. They should also have knowledge of sustainable practices in landscape design and be familiar with state and federal permitting processes. The project lead must be a licensed professional engineer in Georgia and have completed the Landscape Architect Registration Exam (L.A.R.E).
