Invitation Notice is hereby given that the Macon-Bibb County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed bids (1) original and (1) flash drive in the Procurement Department, Suite 308, Macon-Bibb Government Center, 700 Poplar Street Suite 308, Macon, Georgia 31201, until 12:00 o clock NOON at the time legally prevailing in Macon, Georgia on Thursday, April 17, 2025, for Residential Roof Repair for Twenty (20) Houses for the Macon-Bibb Economic and Community Development County, Georgia. 1. NO BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DESIGNATED TIME. 2. Bids will be publicly opened in the Macon-Bibb County Procurement Conference Room on the 3rd Floor, Thursday, April 17, 2025 @ 2:00 pm. 3. Background
The Macon-Bibb County Board of Commissioners is issuing a solicitation for residential roof repairs for twenty (20) houses as part of their Economic and Community Development efforts. This initiative aims to improve housing conditions in the community, ensuring compliance with federal regulations regarding lead-based paint and rehabilitation standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1) Obtain all necessary permits and licenses for the project.

Specific roofing tasks include:

a) Trim tree limbs overhanging roofs to maintain a clearance of about 15 feet;
b) Remove all roof covering material down to sheathing;
c) Replace up to 20% of rotten or damaged roof decking;
d) Install new shingles with a minimum warranty of 20 years;
e) Install ridge vents along roof ridges;
f) Clean gutters and downspouts.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by April 17, 2025.

The work will be performed at various residential locations within Macon-Bibb County, Georgia.
