Background
The Bibb County School District (BCSD) is seeking a service proposal to conduct inspections and repairs to its fire alarm systems. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with applicable NFPA standards across its 38 sites, which serve over 20,000 students. The contract may be awarded for an initial term of one year with the option for up to three additional one-year renewals based on performance and funding availability.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for conducting annual fire alarm inspections by NICET certified technicians, ensuring adherence to manufacturer guidelines and NFPA codes. Specific requirements include:
- Testing of alarm-initiating devices, alarm notification appliances, and circuit information.
- Provision of proper documentation (NFPA 72 current inspection form or equivalent) for each site within one week of inspection completion.
- Detailed reporting of discrepancies not meeting NFPA standards along with repair quotes.
- A schedule for inspections starting July 1st, coordinated around summer events in schools.
- A defined process for entering service calls and tracking inspections/repairs.
- Pricing breakdowns for inspections and repairs/service calls, including emergency response times and common repair costs.
- Clean-up and removal of debris post-inspection to maintain site conditions.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1st following the award and will last for one year, with options for up to three additional one-year renewals based on performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Bibb County School District in Macon, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have appropriate licenses as required by the State of Georgia and provide proof of insurance within 15 days of notification upon contract award. The contractor must also comply with BCSD's nondiscrimination policy and actively solicit participation from minority business enterprises.
