25-021 FY25 Sidewalk Cleaning

Background
The City of Sandy Springs is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive sidewalk cleaning services as part of its public works initiatives. The goal of this contract is to maintain the cleanliness and safety of approximately 90,058 linear feet of concrete sidewalks and related surfaces throughout the city, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for power washing approximately 90,058 linear feet of concrete sidewalks, including all concrete aprons, islands, catch basin tops, ramps, bus stop pads, bench pads, and brick pavers located in the Right of Way. The work must ensure complete removal of gum, dirt, and other stains without damaging any surfaces. Specific requirements include:

1. Use of a pressure washer with a minimum of 3,000 psi and 4 gallons per minute capacity.
2. Chemical treatment for mold or mildew prior to washing.
3. Containment and reclamation of wastewater when chemicals are used.
4. Compliance with pedestrian safety measures during operations.
5. Provision of visible signage near work sites.
6. A bi-weekly schedule detailing upcoming activities must be submitted by noon each Thursday.

Period of Performance
The project must be completed within 90 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, which will be issued within ten calendar days after contract award.

Place of Performance
The cleaning services will be performed at various locations throughout the City of Sandy Springs.
