25-0112-2 Jennifer Ross Sports Complex Landscape Improvements

Background
Chatham County is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide landscape improvements for Chatham County Parks & Recreation at their Jennifer Ross Sports Complex located at 7221 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406. The purpose of this project is to enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the sports complex through various landscaping efforts.

Work Details
The vendor shall supply the total cost for all materials, labor, and insurance to complete the work described in this Invitation to Bid and included concept drawings. The specific tasks include:

1. **Sallie Mood Drive Sign & Planting:**
- Move the sign from its current location to a new proposed location as per the concept drawing.
- Construct an oval wall with a minimum height of twelve (12) inches using Shaw Brick Stack Stone or Shaw Brick Manor Stone, approximately 12 feet wide by 15 feet long. Clearance to the bottom of the sign must be no less than thirty-two (32) inches.
- Planting around the sign will consist of eighteen (18) Liriope, ten (10) Dwarf Pink Muhly, and thirty-six (36) Pansies within the wall structure.

2. **Eisenhower Drive Sign & Planting:**
- Tie the sign to grade at property line as shown in the concept drawing.
- Construct a semi-oval wall with similar specifications as above but dimensions of approximately 10 feet wide by 12 feet long.
- Planting will consist of eighteen (18) Liriope, three (3) Dwarf Pink Muhly, and thirty-six (36) Pansies.

3. **Jennifer Ross Memorial Enhancements:**
- Install three (3) paver bench pads measuring 8’ x 4’ with border brick.
- Install three (3) benches matching provided pictures in concept drawings.
- Create three (3) mini slate chip pathways with specified dimensions and materials.
- Plant sixteen (16) Ink Berry around benches and behind memorial; thirteen (13) Liriope and twenty-four (24) Pansies inside memorial circle; additional planting of eighteen (18) Ink Berry, thirty-six (36) Sand Cordgrass, thirty-six (36) Virginia Sweetspire, and forty (40) Liriope in designated areas.

Period of Performance
Work shall begin within ten (10) days after receipt of 'Notice to Proceed.' All work shall be completed within 120 calendar days after this ten-day period.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Jennifer Ross Sports Complex located at 7221 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with all local licensing requirements and provide proof of insurance as specified in the contract documents. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to utilize minority/woman-owned businesses in their proposals as part of Chatham County's commitment to equal opportunity purchasing.
