24-022 Surplus Firearms - Rome/Floyd Metro Task Force

Background
The Floyd County Board of Commissioners is requesting bids for surplus weapons confiscated by the Rome/Floyd Metro Task Force. The weapons will be sold in two lots: Handguns and Long Guns. Bidders must be licensed as firearms collectors, dealers, importers, or manufacturers under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Section 921, et seq., and Chapter 16 of Title 43 and must provide a copy of their license with the bid. The buyer(s) will be responsible for the transfer of weapons and all necessary documentation. Payment accepted will be cash, money order, or cashier’s check made to 'Rome/Floyd Metro Task Force'. Pickup must be made within 15 business days after full payment is made for the weapons.

Work Details
The work involves purchasing surplus firearms from the Rome/Floyd Metro Task Force. The weapons will be available for inspection on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the Floyd County Law Enforcement Building by appointment only. Pictures and a description list of weapons are available for viewing in attached files. Bids are due no later than 11:00 AM, Friday, June 21, 2024.

The geographic location for the performance of this contract is at the Floyd County Law Enforcement Building located at 5 Government Plaza, Rome Ga. 30161.
