2026-06 Library Cameras

Background
The Catoosa County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed written bids from qualified vendors to provide and install 27 Verkada cameras at the Catoosa County Library located at 108 Catoosa Cir, Ringgold, GA 30736.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the security of the library through the installation of modern surveillance technology.

Work Details
The contractor shall install a total of 27 Verkada cameras with a 5-year license. The installation includes:
- Removing 15 old cameras and providing them to the owner;
- Installing 7 exterior and 8 interior cameras;
- Cutting old cabling flush with the surface and pushing remaining cable back into the hole;
- Filling old exterior camera location holes with Sika polyurethane mortar sealant;
- Leaving old interior camera location holes unpatched (to be done by the owner);
- Using no heavy equipment inside the library;
- Working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM (Saturday work requires approval);
- Minimizing installation noise;
- Installing new code-compliant 550Mhz Solid Copper Core 23-AWG ethernet cable;
- Terminating, toning, testing, and labeling all cables associated with each camera location;
- Managing project coordination with IT and Library Directors;
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws;
- Providing all necessary equipment, labor, and materials (none provided by Catoosa County);
- Being responsible for any damages or injuries during work execution;
- Not subcontracting without written consent from the county;
- Submitting invoices on a net 30-day basis; and
- Providing bonds if project exceeds $100,000.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from June 18, 2026, following bid acceptance, until completion of installation as specified in the proposal.

Catoosa County Library located at 108 Catoosa Cir, Ringgold, GA 30736.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount if it exceeds $100,000. They must also have a valid business license in Georgia and comply with O.C.G.A. §13-10-91 regarding federal work authorization programs.
Insurance requirements include $1 million per occurrence for general liability and other specified coverage amounts. Bidders claiming local vendor privilege must have an established business within Catoosa County and at least two employees who have worked there for six months or longer.
