2025 Main Roads Resurfacing & Patching

Background
The City of Johns Creek Public Works Department is seeking bids for the resurfacing and patching of main roads in Johns Creek, Georgia. The project aims to enhance road safety and infrastructure by applying plant mix resurfacing and patches on specified roads. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the work in accordance with city regulations and standards.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:
- Resurfacing McGinnis Ferry Road (both east and westbound lanes between Johns Creek Parkway) with milling, inlay, and new striping configuration.
- Resurfacing Old Alabama Rd/Nesbit Ferry from the construction joint at Autry Vue Ln to city limits (excluding new pavement at Haynes bridge intersection) with milling and inlay.
- Patching Hospital Parkway between McGinnis Ferry and Medlock Bridge Rd.
- Patching Jones Bridge between Old Alabama and Waters Road.

All main roads are to be resurfaced with 1.5” of 12.5mm asphalt, including profile milling of the roadway. The contractor must adhere to GDOT specifications, provide all labor and materials, inspect job sites prior to bidding, and submit a list of proposed material sources for approval.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed on June 1, 2025, and ends on September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed on various main roads within the City of Johns Creek, Georgia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have verifiable experience in similar projects and submit three references demonstrating this experience. All contractors must comply with federal regulations regarding equal employment opportunity and maintain a drug-free workplace. The contractor must also obtain all necessary permits and licenses required for project execution.
