Background
Meriwether County is seeking bids for the repair and replacement of the culvert on Magnolia Road, located in Meriwether County, Georgia. The project aims to enhance infrastructure and ensure safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians. Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing the existing pipe and installing an 84-inch PCCMP (Plain Concrete Cylinder Pipe). The county will provide the pipe. The contractor must form and pour concrete toe walls that are half the diameter of the pipe at both the inlet and outlet ends.

An 8-inch graded stone bed must be placed under the pipe, which should be anchored to the concrete wall. Type 1 riprap, a minimum of 36 inches deep by 8 feet long, must be installed at the outlet end of the pipe with filter fabric to prevent scouring. The contractor is also required to compact backfill material to match existing road elevation and grass any disturbed areas.

Additionally, the contractor is responsible for utility location and any damages incurred during construction. A photo record of work completed (including stone bed, concrete wall, compaction of backfill, and riprap) must be provided to the county.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon Notice to Proceed and extend for a period of 120 days.
