2024 Debris Removal Services

Background
Lowndes County, Georgia, is seeking proposals for Debris Removal Services to provide professional technical services for the removal and lawful disposal of debris created as a result of storm events. The county covers 511 square miles of land and includes the municipalities of Dasher, Hahira, Lake Park, Remerton, and Valdosta. The contract is anticipated to be awarded for a one-year term with the opportunity for four additional one-year renewal periods, not exceeding five years in total.

Work Details
The contractor is expected to provide emergency disaster-related debris removal and disposal services throughout the county as needed. This includes preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation phases of any natural or man-made disaster or emergency declared by the United States federal government, the State of Georgia, or Lowndes County.
The services shall include operations and management, logistical support, construction, technical assistance, supervision of work using skilled labor and proper equipment, and responsibility for safety of personnel and equipment. The contractor shall also be responsible for mobilization within two days following the completion of emergency push operations.

Period of Performance
The agreement is anticipated to be awarded for a one-year term with the opportunity for four additional one-year renewal periods. The total contract length, including all renewals, shall not exceed five years.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed in Lowndes County, including each of the municipalities within the county: Dasher, Hahira, Lake Park, Remerton, and Valdosta.
