Description

The Cumming Utilities Water Pollution Control Division is requesting proposals from qualified companies for the Construction of a Rock, Stone, and Wood Entrance Sign. Sign will be located at the Entrance of the City of Cumming's Wastewater Treatment Plant. Proposals should be typed or submitted in ink and delivered to the 2nd Floor receptionist desk in a sealed envelope marked on the outside with CU WPCD Entrance Sign or mailed to Cumming City Hall, 100 Main Street, Cumming, GA 30040. Proposals will be received until October 31st, 2024 at 4 p.m. Proposals received after this date and time will not be accepted. The City of Cumming Street Department reserves the right to waive irregularities and reject any or all proposals.
Background
The Cumming Utilities Water Pollution Control Division is seeking proposals from qualified companies for the construction of a Rock, Stone, and Wood Entrance Sign at the entrance of the City of Cumming's Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Site Preparation: Conducting a site survey, clearing debris, and marking boundaries for installation.

2. Foundation Construction: Excavating for the foundation and pouring concrete to create a stable base.

3. Rock Structure Assembly: Sourcing rock materials, constructing the rock structure per design specifications, and securing with adhesives or mortar.

4. Wood Frame and Signage Installation: Preparing wood materials, assembling the frame, attaching it to the rock structure, and installing signage using weather-resistant fasteners.

5. Finishing Touches: Applying sealants or protective coatings, conducting inspections, and cleaning the site.

Materials required include natural or manufactured stone, weather-resistant treated wood, concrete for the foundation, sealants, fasteners, and adherence to design specifications including dimensions and color schemes.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed by October 31st, 2024.

The construction will take place at the entrance of the City of Cumming's Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Cumming, GA.
