Background
The Bartow County School System is seeking proposals from qualified landscape contractors for comprehensive Lawn Care and Athletic Field Maintenance services across all school locations. The goal of this contract is to ensure the upkeep and aesthetic quality of the school grounds, which aligns with the agency's mission to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for students.

Work Details
The contractor will provide labor, materials, equipment, chemicals, fuel, and incidentals necessary for complete lawn care maintenance. Specific tasks include:
- Mowing grass a minimum of once every seven days during the growing season (mid-March through October) and periodically during winter months.
- Bush hogging designated areas at least four times per year.
- Maintaining landscaped areas and shrubbery.
- Edging grass from curbs and sidewalks.
- Pruning trees and shrubs as needed.
- Applying weed control chemicals in designated areas.

All work must comply with local regulations. The contractor must also manage schedules around school events and testing periods.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with options for annual renewal up to three additional years based on mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within Bartow County, Georgia, including elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and administrative offices.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the Georgia Prompt Pay Act regarding payment timelines. Contractors are required to have background checks for employees assigned to the project. Additionally, contractors must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the solicitation documents. All contractors must adhere to non-discrimination policies as outlined in the proposal.
