WUD - Update and Install Security Alarm System (Re-bid)

Background
The Palm Beach County Capital Improvements Division is issuing a solicitation for the project titled 'Water Utility - Update and Install Security Alarm (RE-BID)', Project Number 2024-027674-R1. This project aims to enhance the security infrastructure of the Water Utilities by updating and installing a new Intrusion Alarm System.

The agency's mission is to ensure safety and security within its facilities, and this contract aligns with that goal by replacing outdated systems with modern technology.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and miscellaneous requirements necessary to remove and replace the existing Intrusion Alarm System. Specific tasks include:
1. Removal of the existing alarm system and installation of a new standalone turnkey system.
2. Termination of connections to inactive systems and investigation of existing electrical circuits.
3. Complete removal and replacement of intrusion alarm wiring following Palm Beach County specifications.
4. Installation of new devices as per specifications, including two keypads at designated locations.
5. Installation of rigid aluminum conduit for exterior wiring and compliance with PBC ESS specifications for interior wiring.
6. Provision of surge protection for data wiring entering the control panel.
7. Coordination with the Project Manager for scheduling work to minimize disruption during installation.
8. Submission of a preliminary work schedule for approval prior to commencement.

Period of Performance
The contractor must substantially complete the work within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issued by Palm Beach County.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Water Utilities facility located at 8100 Forest Hill Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL.
