Water Cooler Dispensers and Related Products

Background
The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract for the rental, installation, and maintenance of water cooler dispensers and the supply of associated paper cups for various Miami-Dade County Departments on an as-needed basis.

This initiative supports the County's mission to provide essential services while promoting environmentally friendly practices by reducing single-use plastics.

Work Details
The contract includes the following services and products:

1) Rental, installation, and maintenance of bottle-less water cooler dispensers that connect directly to a water source, including a 3-stage filtration system.

2) Rental of five-gallon water cooler dispensers designed to dispense purified or spring water from five-gallon bottles.

3) Supply of five-gallon purified drinking water in durable, leak-proof containers.

4) Provision of rolled-rim paper cone cups (4.5 ounces) that are leak-proof and made from paper.

The awarded bidder will also be responsible for servicing all dispensers twice a year at no additional cost, ensuring compliance with U.S. EPA drinking water standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on the first calendar day of the month succeeding approval by the Board of County Commissioners and will expire on the last day of the 60th month thereafter.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various Miami-Dade County Departments, including but not limited to Aviation, Transit and Public Works, Parks Recreation and Open Spaces Department, and Regulatory and Economic Resources Department.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide contact information for a designated representative available during business hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm).

Bidders or their subcontractors must have experience in providing water cooler dispensers and services, supported by two customer references.

Additionally, bidders must comply with insurance requirements including Commercial General Liability ($1 million each occurrence), Automobile Liability ($1 million combined single limit), and Umbrella coverage ($4 million each occurrence/aggregate).
