Background
The City of Orlando is seeking to award a sole source contract for Vapor Wake® Certification/Evaluation and Training for Police Canine (K9) teams.
The K9 Guild LLC has been identified as the exclusive source for this service due to their licensing agreement with Auburn University, which holds the copyrights and patents for Vapor Wake® Technology. The K9 Guild has extensive experience in body-worn explosive detection and has been involved with Vapor Wake® since its inception.
Work Details
The contract includes the following services:
- Onsite training
- Recertification
- Evaluation of Vapor Wake® canine teams.
The K9 Guild will provide operational-based handler training and evaluations to enhance proficiency and performance in body-worn explosive detection. All evaluations will adhere to the Auburn University License Agreement and K9 Guild Evaluation/Certification Guidelines, incorporating best practices aligned with ANSI/ATSB 2021 092 Standards.
Period of Performance
