Upgrade Alarm System - New Installation

Background
The project titled 'Upgrade Alarm System - New Installation' is issued by the Capital Improvements Division of Palm Beach County. The goal of this contract is to enhance security by replacing existing intrusion alarm systems at three separate sites, ensuring compliance with the county's standards and specifications.

The project aims to provide a new standalone turnkey system that meets the operational needs of the Water Utilities Department (WUD).

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, tools, and supervision necessary for the removal and replacement of the existing intrusion alarm systems at three locations:
- 13026 Jog Road, Delray Beach
- 8100 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach
- 39688 Hooker Hwy., Belle Glades, FL.

Specific tasks include:
1. Replace existing systems with a new standalone turnkey system.
2. Terminate connections to inactive systems and investigate existing electrical circuits and wiring.
3. Remove old wiring and replace it with new intrusion alarm wiring following specified color schemes.
4. Install new devices per Palm Beach County Electronic Services and Security (ESS) specifications.
5. Ensure all device wiring is home run to a new terminal cabinet with exact locations determined on-site.
6. Install rigid aluminum conduit for exterior installations and ensure interior conduit adheres to ESS specifications.
7. Provide surge protection as specified in ESS guidelines.
8. Install two keypads at designated locations approved by WUD.
9. Patch, repair, prime, and paint walls where damage occurs due to installation activities.
10. Submit a preliminary work schedule for approval prior to commencing work.

Period of Performance
The contractor must substantially complete the work within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed issued by the Owner.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at three locations in Palm Beach County:
- 13026 Jog Road, Delray Beach
- 8100 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach
- 39688 Hooker Hwy., Belle Glades, FL.
