Tutoring Partners for K-12 Students

Background
The University of Florida (UF) is seeking qualified organizations to provide tutoring services as part of the Florida Tutoring Advantage program. This initiative aims to improve student outcomes in reading and mathematics for K-12 students. It is administered by the Lastinger Center for Learning, established to support educational systems through evidence-based tutoring methods. The program was created following House Bill 1361: Education (2024), which mandates financial and technical support for public school districts to enhance student achievement.

Work Details
The selected partners will provide online tutoring services for eligible K-5 students and AI tutoring support for grades 6-12. The services include:

1. Virtual Instructor-Led Tutoring in reading and/or math for K-5 students, ensuring sessions are tailored to individual needs, conducted in a one-on-one or small group format, and compliant with Florida's educational standards.

2. Automated Software solutions for K-5 students in reading and/or math that are evidence-based and aligned with the B.E.S.T. standards.

3. AI Tutoring and Support for grades 6-12, utilizing large language models like GPT-4 to deliver personalized learning experiences.

4. Tutoring Support Services including technology support, data tracking, quality assurance processes, and compliance with safety regulations such as CIPA, COPPA, FERPA, and ADA requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence in the 2024-25 school year and will be evaluated annually with options to renew based on performance.

Place of Performance
Services will be delivered online to eligible K-5 students in Florida public schools.
