Description

This is the Commission's notice of its Agency Decision to award solicitation number FWC 24/25-20 to Environmental Management & Engineering, LLC.

Pursuant to Chapter 120, Florida Statutes (F.S.), the posting of this Notice of Agency Decision/Award will begin on December 3, 2024 at 4:15 PM and will end 72 hours later on December 6, 2024 at 4:15 PM. (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays).

Any person who is adversely affected by the agency decision or intended decision shall file with the agency a notice of protest in writing within 72 hours after the posting of the notice of decision or intended decision. Saturdays, Sundays and state holidays shall be excluded in the computation of the 72-hour time periods.

Failure to file a protest within 72 hours, the time prescribed in section 120.57(3), F.S., or failure to post the bond or other security required by law within the time allowed for filing a bond, shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.

Background
The Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission is responsible for managing the state's fish and wildlife resources. The goal of this contract is to provide tree and shrub maintenance services in the Everglades Complex of Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), which includes the Everglades/Frances Taylor WMA, Holey Land WMA, and Rotenberger WMA.

Work Details
The contract involves the maintenance of trees and shrubs within the specified WMAs. The awarded contractor, Environmental Management & Engineering, LLC, submitted bids for each area:

- $2,980.00 for Everglades/Frances Taylor WMA
- $3,460.00 for Holey Land WMA
- $1,950.00 for Rotenberger WMA.

Other bidders included Core Ecology Group, LLC and Grove Services Inc., with higher bid amounts.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence following the award decision on November 26, 2024, and will continue as specified in the contract terms.
