Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Services

Background
The City of Fort Myers, located in Lee County, Florida, is seeking engineering firm(s) to provide Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering Services under a Continuing Contract. The City has a staff of approximately 925 employees serving a population of approximately 75,000 permanent residents. The City encompasses approximately 50 square miles and functions as a Council/Manager form of government.

Work Details
The Consultant(s) awarded this contract shall be required to have a Professional Engineer registered in the State of Florida to be actively in charge of and responsible for the operations, personnel, management, and supervision of the performance of all required services.
Services may include but not be limited to:
- Traffic Impact Statements
- Simulation Modeling
- Traffic Modeling
- Intersection Analysis and Design
- Transportation Planning and Design
- Roadway Capacity and Classification analysis
- Signal Analysis and Design
- Development of Regional Impact Transportation Study Review Work
- Proportionate Share Calculations
and other development related studies.
The Engineering Firm’s responsibilities may include the completion of all necessary documents, attending meetings on behalf of the city, and other necessary work or services identified to complete the project. The Engineering Firm may also be required to work as part of a team and participate closely with other professionals; specifically, City Project Managers and other City and Construction Team members as required.

Period of Performance
This contract shall be for a period of five (5) years. The City of Fort Myers performance and obligation to pay under this contract is contingent upon an annual appropriation of funds by the City of Fort Myers.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for the performance of the contract will be in Fort Myers, Florida.
