Background
The City of Jacksonville, Florida, through its Solid Waste Division, is seeking bids for the installation of 35 acres of final cover at the Trail Ridge Landfill. This project aims to ensure proper closure and environmental compliance for landfill operations. The contract will involve various construction activities necessary for the completion of this project.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Site grading and clearing;
2. Erosion and sedimentation control;
3. Construction and installation of a final cover system for Phases 1-4;
4. Acquisition, delivery, screening, testing, and installation of geosynthetics, protective soil, and topsoil;
5. Tie-in to existing final closure systems around Phases 1-4;
6. Repairing any damage to existing final cover systems and roadways due to tie-in operations;
7. Construction of landfill gas collection and control system improvements.

Period of Performance
The contract is a one-time purchase that will commence upon execution of the purchase order or contract and will continue until the completion and acceptance of the stated scope of work.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Trail Ridge Landfill located at 5110 US Highway 301 South, Baldwin, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of applicable local business licenses if located within Duval County, hold a valid Florida General Contractor license, and be on the approved Pre-Qualified Bidders List in the Horizontal category. Additionally, bidders are required to submit a bid security in the form of a bid bond or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount.
