Sunrise Middle School Pool Management

Background
The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking bids from qualified and licensed firms to provide a revenue-generating aquatic program at Sunrise Middle School. The goal of this contract is to offer various aquatic services including classes, community recreational use, and specialty instruction to enhance community engagement and promote swimming skills among residents.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide an aquatic program that includes:

1) Learn to swim classes for ages 6 months to adult, with 15% of classes open to the community;

2) Accommodation for the city summer camp program during summer months at no cost;

3) Recreational programming such as lap swim and recreational swimming;

4) A competitive swim team for youth and adults affiliated with USA Swimming or equivalent.

Services must be performed during agreed hours, adhering to safety guidelines set by the Florida Department of Health. The Contractor is responsible for maintaining pool cleanliness, testing chemicals, and ensuring lifeguard presence during operations. Additionally, the Contractor must provide financial reports related to revenue from the contract upon request.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term will commence upon final execution of the contract and will last for one year, with the option for three additional one-year extensions based on mutual agreement.

The services will be performed at Sunrise Middle School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
