Description
Background
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking competitive pricing to replace four (4) awnings on St. Pete's Headquarters Campus. The mission of the FWC is to manage fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people, which includes habitat and species conservation, freshwater fisheries management, law enforcement, marine fisheries management, hunting and game management, and fish and wildlife research.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing all remaining damaged fabric covers from existing awning frames. They will fabricate new awning covers to attach to these frames. The new covers must be constructed using all-weather exterior woven acrylic or polyester fiber reinforced vinyl fabric, covered by a minimum 10-year warranty. All seams and edges must be heat welded and double stitched with UV-resistant sewing thread that has a lifetime warranty.
The installation methods include using a 'rope & grommet' method for the 'RMI' Entrance and Rooftop, while the 'JU' West Terrace and East Terrace will use a staple stitch method. The contractor must obtain all field dimensions onsite as the provided dimensions are approximate. Additionally, they must warranty labor, materials, and equipment for one year from final completion.
Period of Performance
The project is expected to be completed by August 31, 2026.
Place of Performance
St. Petersburg Headquarters Campus, Florida.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) system and with SunBiz prior to bid opening. Certified Minority-owned, Woman-owned, and Service-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate in the bidding process.
